The Welding program of study focuses on careers that will build a knowledge base and technical skills in all aspects of the Welding industry. Students will have the opportunity to earn both NOCTI certification and WV Welding Certifications for each skill set mastered. Students will develop skills and a positive work ethic in the Simulated Workplace environment.

Students planning on enrolling in Welding will need to be scheduled in all four courses either all morning or all afternoon.  It takes one year to complete the program. The courses are listed below.

Completion of Courses 1862, 1863, 1864 and 1865 will fulfill Transition Math for Seniors credit

EDGE Credit
Free EDGE Credit 3-6 Hrs. for Completion of CTE Program at any Community & Technical College in West Virginia

 NOCTI AND CERTIFICATION INFORMATION

If a student has already completed a course that is in a one-year program of study, they will be assigned an elective course number in that block so courses will not be duplicated.

There are advanced courses available in every program for completers. Approval for advanced courses is at the discretion of the Principal. Please fill out the Advanced Course Request form and return it to MCTEC.
