Mercer County Public Schools proudly celebrated each school and department’s Service Persons of the Year!
Our service personnel are the backbone of our schools—keeping buildings clean and safe, preparing meals, supporting classrooms, welcoming families, and ensuring students get to and from school each day. From bus drivers and custodians to secretaries, cooks, and assistant teachers, their impact is felt in every corner of our district.
A special congratulations to the 2026 Mercer County Schools Service Person of the Year, Alan Royster of Bluefield Intermediate School! He will now represent Mercer County at the state level as he competes for West Virginia Service Person of the Year.
