Hey, families! Did you know that Bluewell School staff is doing a book study on The 5 Love Languages of Children by Gary Chapman and Ross Campbell? Here's a little bit about the book, as well as what we hope to incorporate as a staff.

Love is a universal language, and we love others to varying degrees. Hence, we love our spouse, children, family members, friends, and neighbors in different ways. However, similar to our spouses, children have varying types of love languages that we must focus on.

So, here are the 5 love languages:

Physical Touch- this can span anywhere from a hug to a high five.
Words of affirmation- in other words, praise and encouragement.
Quality Time- this is focused, undivided attention.
Gifts- this refers to meaningful gifts that are given for no reason.
Acts of Service- helping a child do something.

Our goal is to speak our students' love languages, so they KNOW that we care! Mrs. Pack is giving the kids a quiz to determine each child's primary love language. Then, the kids will be provided a certain color that correlates to their love language. Finally, all staff will work toward speaking your child’s primary love language.

For example, if Johnny’s primary love language is physical touch, then his teacher will give him a pat on the back while providing a compliment. Or, if Susie’s primary love language is gifts, then her teacher may give her positive notes. Make sense? Hopefully, this will grow Bluewell School's culture even more!
