Just a reminder that Freshman Orientation will be tomorrow, August 21 from 1:30 to 3:30. The orientation will begin in the Bluefield High School auditorium and conclude with students getting to preview their class schedule and meet their teachers.

Dr. Darrin Martin, Interim President of Bluefield State University, and his daughter Caitlyn Martin, University of Virginia student, spoke to our staff about the Why when it comes to the SAT, strategies when taking SAT, and the Importance of Educators.

Attention to all juniors and seniors that signed up for an online college course through BSU, classes will begin on Monday, August 19th.
College English and Dual Civics are the only two courses that will begin on August 22nd.
If you have questions about accessing your course, you will need to contact Bluefield State University.
If you are a senior and are taking online college courses and plan to block out you will need to complete a block out form. They can be picked up at the school.

Any student interested in running Cross Country for Bluefield High School this year, there will be a meeting and running on Monday, July 29th at 8am at BHS. Runners must have a current physical, proof of insurance, 2.0 GPA, and 12th graders must have required immunizations.

General/Parking Information
Parking will be available in the following areas for graduation:
- Parking Lot at Bluefield High School.
- Grassy Area beside the Softball field.
- BHS Tennis Courts Parking Lot.
Guests are encouraged to carpool as much as possible.
Doors will open at 6pm. Guests must have tickets to attend graduation.
Guests will only be allowed to enter through the Main Entrance by the BHS Auditorium.

Graduation 2024 information
Graduation practice will be at Bluefield High School on Thursday May 23 at 10 am in the auditorium.
Graduation will be in the high school auditorium on Friday, May 24 at 7pm. Seniors will be given their 6 tickets at graduation practice for their family.
Beaver Nation:
The Bluefield Lady Beavers Softball Team will begin WV State Softball Tournament play on Wednesday, May 22 at 9:45am vs the Keyser Tornadoes! The game will be played at the Little Creek Park in South Charleston. Online Tickets are recommended and are available at WVSSAC.org. Come out and support the Lady Beavers!
