Don't forget about the MCS Express Food Truck this week! Today they're in Bluefield at the Greater Mt. Zion Pentecostal Church. Tomorrow at the First Christian Church across from Straley School, Wednesday at Matoaka Summer Day Camp at the Matoaka Fire Department, and Thursday at the Montcalm Volunteer Fire Department. Each day is from 11:00-12:30. Bring your kids for food and fun!

Attention Eighth Grade Students Tryouts for the Dance Team at BHS as been scheduled

We want to make you aware that an imitation weapon was found on campus today at Bluefield Middle School. The situation was promptly and appropriately addressed in accordance with school and district policies. At no time were any students or staff in danger. Please be assured that the safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. We appreciate your continued support in helping us maintain a safe and secure learning environment for all.

Awards Day will be June 9, 2025 6th Grade 10:00 7th Grade 1:40 8th Grade 12:00 Students receiving awards will bring home an invite.

It is with heavy hearts that we have to say we lost James Davis this weekend. James was an asset to our school and a true 110% guy. He was always willing to lend a hand with every task. We will miss him dearly. Please remember his family in your prayers.

Reminder. 7th grade field trip permission slips are due tomorrow.

Parents, we will begin testing next week. Please make sure your child comes to school with a charged laptop each day. They will receive points on their testing rubric for being here each day during testing and coming prepared.

Parents: the city of Bluefield will be offering several summer camp opportunities. Information is attached.

Ms. Hulsey and Ms. Moore’s science classes have been learning about the periodic table. Today the students used their skills on reading the periodic table and applied it to “periodic table battleship”.
