Dear Parents/Guardians, We are very excited to be taking a school wide field trip to Richdale Farm pumpkin patch in Wytheville, VA. on October 11 and are leaving school promptly at 8:00 am. If your child is tardy past 8:00, they will unfortunately not participate in the trip. We will return before dismissal. There will be a packed school lunch, and students can bring their own packed lunch as well. Good behavior is highly expected from students every day, but especially on a field trip. We represent our community, and we promote and expect responsibility, accountability, and respect. If a behavior incident occurs, it may prevent that student from future participation in trips. Please make sure the permission slips are turned back in ASAP. Parents are allowed to meet us there and will be responsible for the $12 entry fee and their own lunch. Please call 304-325-7066 if you have any questions. Thank you!

Good afternoon! Bus 612, Roger Thompson, is currently out of service. The bus garage is aware and we may get a sub bus. If you can pick your students up from school that may be best option. We apologize for the last minute notification. Thank you!

Practice self-control. Don't let the actions of others affect YOU! Remember, we can't control other people, but we can control how we react to them.

Good evening! We are very excited to be hosting our Scholastic Book Fair here at the school starting Monday, October 3rd and running until Friday, October 7th. Your student should have a letter that has been sent home with more information about the school's book fair website and an online shopping option. Please check your student's folders for this. Thank you and have a fantastic weekend!

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) Kids Thrive Collaborative will begin holding weekly virtual information sessions on August 23 for parents and caregivers of children to share information on community-based mental and behavioral health services. “Resource Rundown sessions are designed to provide access to information and support for parents and caregivers on options to help their children thrive,” said Marilyn Pearce, Assistant to the DHHR Cabinet Secretary. “Sessions are held during the lunch hour, and include a chat feature for submitting questions privately to the facilitator.” Use the following link to find out more information: https://kidsthrive.wv.gov/Pages/default.aspx
