Good evening from Mercer County Schools! It is time for our monthly Make It Monday Attendance Matters fact.
Did you know that by sixth grade, chronic absenteeism becomes an early warning sign for students at risk of dropping out of school? We set the patterns for their future by teaching them responsible behaviors in elementary school.
Students who attend school regularly are more likely to graduate and find good jobs. In fact, a high school graduate makes, on average, a million dollars more than a dropout over a lifetime.
In order for children to experience the highest level of instruction, they must be present at school. We appreciate your efforts in helping us make education a priority for your child. #makeitmonday #attendancematters #everydaycounts
Erins Law requires all WV student's to be trained on body safety. We would like to thank Child Protect for helping us learn how to keep our bodies safe! Once we know what to do we are stronger, braver, and smarter!
