Admission is $10 per skater and if you aren't skating you don't have to pay. Everyone is welcome to attend, but school rules will still apply. We hope to see you there! Thank you!

Please check your child's folder for information on the upcoming Title One Parent Involvement. We must have the RSVP portion returned as soon as possible so we can plan and be adequately prepared. This event will be set up differently than previous events, so knowing the number of people ahead of time will make the evening organized and fun! Thank you!

Good afternoon! This is a reminder that Friday, April 7th is a 2 hour early release. Also, with the weather warming up please review the county dress code policy in your student handbook. The most recent problems have been length of shorts and skirts, jeans with rips have to have something under them if the skin revealed is above the fingertip, and spaghetti strapped shirts. Good evening! Please turn in the THRIVE summer program interest sheets by tomorrow, Wednesday, April 5th or call the school to confirm interest. We need an estimate of how many students would be attending in order to secure enough teachers and staff. Start date will be June 12th and will run for two weeks until June 23rd. There will be 2 days within that time period we have off for holidays, so a total of 8 days. It will be held from 8:00am to 1:30 pm with breakfast and lunch provided. Thank you!
We had a very special guest this week at Brushfork! Mr. Toman, Mercer County's Superintendent, stopped by to visit with students and check out our school. He even spent some time providing one on one instruction for a student. Thank you Mr. Toman!
Good evening! If you have not sent your child's permission slip back to school for our trip tomorrow, please send it or a handwritten note authorizing your permission. We will not be calling home for permission in the morning. Students will be provided breakfast and lunch at the school.

April 6th, 1st lunch is full, 2nd lunch still has 3 openings.

Mercer County: BUS INFORMATION. The following buses will not run today:
Bus 624, which affects Brushfork, Bluefield Middle and Bluefield High.
Bus 615, which affects Mountain Valley, Bluefield Middle and Bluefield High.
This has not been confirmed, but we want to try to be proactive. Bus 624 may not run for the remainder of the week and the lack of a substitute is highly likely. Please try to get your kids to school; ask friends, family, or take turns carpooling kids. We realize this may be an inconvenience but students are still responsible for the work that they miss on these days. Thank you!
Good evening! Just a few updates:
First, since we are going on a field trip Friday we do not want students to wear pajamas for the attendance incentive, so they can wear them on Thursday. We would like students to wear Bengal colors to support our school spirit since their will be other schools there as well. If they do not have a signed permission slip they will not get to go. There will be teachers at the school to provide instruction and supervision.
Second, we are in need of candy for our upcoming Spring party. Please bring donations to the school as soon as possible.
There are a few procedures we need to follow while being at the school for a party or any event. Please do not take pictures, some students do not have permission for their photos to be taken. Please do not bring siblings if at all possible, and if you must, they need to follow all school rules and guidelines for the safety of themselves and all students. Siblings are not allowed to move freely within the building.
Lastly, please do not use this time to try to conference with your child's teacher. This is a time for fun and celebration and the focus needs to be on students. Thank you and have a great evening!
