Today, our fourth-grade students had the unique opportunity to visit the historic McNutt House in Princeton. The trip allowed them to step back in time and experience what life was like in the 1800s. Students were fascinated by the stories, artifacts, and traditions shared during their visit, which helped bring history to life in a meaningful way.
This experience connected beautifully with our One Book, One School selection, Little House on the Prairie. As students continue reading and engaging with social and emotional lessons inspired by both the book and the movie, they were able to make real-world connections to the time period and daily life of the pioneers.
We are grateful to the Daughters of the American Revolution for hosting our students and helping make history both memorable and fun. It was truly a great day of learning, discovery, and connection.
