The Princeton Middle School competition robotics team will make a return to the 2022 State Championship Tournament on March 13, 2022 in Fairmont, WV. The PMS program is made up of six teams featuring students in 6th-8th grade. The teams competed with other schools in our county during league play which culminated with the league championship event in January. Princeton Middle Team A and Team B won the team-work challenge event and earned an automatic birth into the state tournament. Other teams are expected to qualify based on their skills score rankings.
The teams are responsible for building a robot that can be controlled by an individual as well as operate autonomously. Teams also keep an engineering notebook detailing all their work and must complete an interview with a judge. This is the fourth season that PMS has fielded competition teams.
