boys basketball champs

The Princeton Middle School Boys Basketball team finished their season with the title of champion after defeating a talented PikeView Middle team. The game started off fast with Princeton using a good mix of inside-outside work led by 8th grader Daniel Jennings. PikeView never let the lead get away and fought back to within three at the halftime break. The third quarter started with PikeView turning up the defensive pressure and quickly taking the lead, eventually going on top by eight points half way through the fourth quarter. That’s when Princeton turned to Wyatt Cline who hit a pair of three-point baskets to help Princeton get back into the game. Jennings, once again, came to life with a strong inside game and helped the tigers tie the score with a little over a minute to play. Foul shooting down the stretch helped Princeton hold on to take the title. Jennings was joined by Cline and 7th grader Cambel Fix as members of the All-Tournament team.
