Four teams from Princeton Middle School Robotics gathered on Sunday, March 13th to compete in the 2022 West Virginia State Championship at Fairmont State University. The competition consisted of a team-work challenge which requires two teams to work together to score as many points as possible on the competition field.  Participants also did individual skills that feature both player-controlled skills and autonomous programming skills.  Two teams from PMS worked their way into the top 12, qualifying for the finals.  At the end of the day, Princeton Middle Team B, consisting of Autumn Beeman, Zoey Kanode, and Jadyn Yahya finished third in the state skills rankings and earned a bid to the 2022 World Championship in Dallas, TX. Princeton Middle Team D, featuring Peyton Richards, Jessie Graham and Aryn Gallman took home 4th in the state skills rankings and also earned a bid to the world competition.  These two teams will travel to Dallas in early May to represent Princeton Middle School in a competition featuring over 800 teams from all across the world. 

Princeton Middle School fielded six competition teams this season:

Team A: Cory Thomas, Jacob Flanigan, Sameer Aboulhosn, Miller Cox and Leland Pennington. (County Champions) 

Team B: Autumn Beeman, Zoey Kanode, Jadyn Yahya (County Champions, World Qualifiers)

Team C: Khloe Early, Layla Gassama, Kadence Grimm, Addyson Twitty

Team D: Aryn Gallman, Jessie Graham, Peyton Richards (World Qualifiers)

Team E: Alayla Ferrell, Scarlett Music

Team F: Corey Rife, Thomas McKenzie, Memphis Hurt, Alex Barrett
