Football season is loading!! If interested in playing, come out for some flex day practices: August 4th, 5th, and 7th, 4-5:30.
Bring tennis shoes, cleats, and mouthpiece. Also, bring your WVSSAC physical form and proof of insurance.
Tomorrow, July 28th, there will be no open gym for boys basketball! We will be back at it on Wednesday from 5-6:30.

For those interested in participating, there will be a meeting in the PVMS cafeteria on Tuesday, July 22nd, at 4 pm. Be sure to bring a copy of your WVSSAC physical.
Don't forget about the MCS Express Food Truck this week! Today they're in Bluefield at the Greater Mt. Zion Pentecostal Church. Tomorrow at the First Christian Church across from Straley School, Wednesday at Matoaka Summer Day Camp at the Matoaka Fire Department, and Thursday at the Montcalm Volunteer Fire Department. Each day is from 11:00-12:30. Bring your kids for food and fun!

Important End of Year Information
The 2024-2025 yearbooks are in! Please pick yours up from the school by Wednesday, June 11th.
All devices must be returned to the school by Tuesday, June 10th, by 3pm to avoid receiving a bill.
PVMS is seeking donations! As we head to Camp Creek Monday for our full year behavior incentive.We are in need of donations of bottled water. If you donate bottled water, please bring it to the office Monday morning.
**PVMS Soccer Announcement**
Flex practice will begin next week on Wednesday, June 11th and Thursday, June 12th at the PikeView Soccer Field.
To participate, players must have the following items:
- A sport physical dated after May 5, 2025
- A copy of birth certificate
- A copy of insurance card
- Proper equipment for practice
- A water bottle
- A soccer ball (if available)

Heads up 8th graders wanting to participate in Cross Country at PVHS!
PikeView Middle School's golf team brought home hardware after their last meet on May 21, 2025.
6th grader Laken Hurt claimed the second lowest girls score of the meet, barely beating out fellow 6th grader Aveigh Thompson.
8th grader Macie Goins kept her winning streak alive by being the lowest girls score in the county - a feat she claimed at every match this season. Macie was also the lowest score for the Panther team.
8th grader Brayden Thompson was the 2nd lowest score for the Panthers and 6th grader Max Adkins was the teams 3rd lowest score.
Thank you for a very successful season. Please return your cleaned uniform shirts by Wednesday, May 28 to Mrs. Withers.
