Mr. Morris is continuing with learning by station rotation. His students love the group collaboration and tend to remember the lesson longer.

Mr. Morris and Ms. Watkins-Lewis along with their students are learning about the Victory Gardens during WWII. They learned about the history through walking notes posted inside the atrium. They then decided to create a garden to help spark student interest. We all look forward to watching the garden grow in our atrium.

Big thanks to Mr. Tracey and the Granada Theater for hosting our 8th grade students and screening The Outsiders. The students completed their novel study last week and very much enjoyed getting to see the differences and similarities between the film and the book. Mr. Tracey led the students in an in-depth discussion both before and after the film, greatly strengthening their understanding and appreciation for the art of cinematic interpretations of classic novels.
