🚨Parking Information!🚨 All students planning on driving to school this year must purchase a parking pass. Information and form attached. You will need to stop in at the designated times to purchase a pass. If you aren't driving yet, but will be later this year, you can purchase a pass at a later date! Working hard in the classroom gets you a discount! No student may park on campus without a pass. Make sure and read the rules on the blue sheet before signing it! Bring with you: -Driver's license -Proof of insurance -Registration -Fee

The annual "Meet The Panthers" event will be held on Monday August 21 beginning at 6 pm at the football field. Stick around afterwards and enjoy the Community Block Party! 6:30-8:30, we will have 2 food trucks, loaded teas, spirit wear! The Army will have some outdoor games set up. The National Guard will have a video game trailer set up with all the up-to-date popular games. Our events committee will have music and big yard games too! It will be a great time for parents and students to hang out and get ready for the upcoming school year. I have the menu for 1 food truck posted, the other will be posted soon!

Senior banner pictures with Greg Barnett will be held on Thursday beginning at 3 pm in the commons area. Boys soccer will start at 3 pm due to a game at MCA. All others will follow. Please be dressed in uniform and no cleats. This is a one time scheduled event. All fall senior student-athletes need to attend to avoid not having a banner arrive on time.

Fall Sports Team and Individual Pictures schedule. It is spread over 2 days. Please be sure to be there during the scheduled times. Picture forms will arrive tomrrow and be distrubuted. You can print off the attached forms to use as well.

🚨Meet The Panthers!🚨 8/21 @ 6:00 PM at the football field. This year, we are hosting a Community Block Party immediately following Meet the Panthers. Come hungry and eat from the food trucks that will be set up. Hidalgo's Kitchen and Mooney's Wheelin' and Grillin' will be here. Enjoy some music and games set up by the school, National Guard, and U.S. Army for your family. Try a loaded tea from Pure Bliss Nutrition and grab some spirit wear from Kirk and Company (Jackie Kirk.) All activities are planned for outdoors and are weather permitting. Let's Goooo Panthers!

If your child has medication in the office must be picked up by parent or guardian on or by the last day of school. The last day for students is JUNE 6th. If the medication has not been picked up, it will be discarded on JUNE 7Th at 2:00pm. We are not permitted to send the medication home by the student or leave in the school after the school year has ended. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. 🚨Sports Physicals🚨 All high school students participating in summer activities and school sports next year must have a new WVSSAC physical dated after 5/1/23. These will cover all school year for 2023-2024. This date and time is reserved for high school students only due to the limited number of staff. If you miss the date, you can arrange a physical at your family doctor, med express, or the Mercer County County Health Department will take you as a walk in Monday - Friday from 8am - 4 pm.

🚨Summer Sports and Activities Information🚨 Girls Basketball Open Gym: Tuesdays- 7 pm Thursdays- 6 pm Football - Weightroom Weightlifting / Conditioning Monday-Thursday 8-10 am Wrestling - Weightroom Weightlifting / Conditioning Monday-Thursday 10-11:30 Volleyball - pictures attached Boys Basketball- Will participate in the Graham Summer League. Girls Soccer- Weightroom Weightlifting / Conditioning Tuesday and Thursdays 5:30-7 This will be updated as information becomes available.

🚨Graduation Seating Information🚨 Seniors were given their graduation tickets today at lunch. Each student has 10 tickets to use. Our main gate will open at 5 pm for the 6 pm graduation ceremony. Everyone attending, must have a ticket to attend. All seating is on a first come, first serve basis. Seating for guests is located on the field to the left and right of the graduates as well as the home bleachers. The first 2 rows on the left are reserved for faculty and staff. Handicap seating is available on the bottom row of the bleachers as well as on the outside of the field seating. We ask that you bring no camping / lawn chairs or umbrellas to this event. The weather is looking great for tomorrow afternoon and we can't wait to see you.

🚨STATE TRACK MEET!🚨 Let's go Panthers! The track team heads to Laidley Field in Charleston to compete in the WVSSAC state track meet today and tomorrow.

Graduation Practice information.

Athletic Awards night has been moved to June 1st at 6 pm. All student athletes and their parents are invited to attend.

AFTERNOON BUS INFO. The following buses will NOT run this afternoon, Wednesday, May 17th Bus 645 will not run this afternoon. This affects Bluewell, Bluefield Middle and Bluefield High. Also Bus 625 which affects Athens, Melrose, Pikeview Middle and Pikeview High.

Virtual School Applications. We are beginning pre-enrollment for 2023-2024 Virtual Students. Applications will be accepted until May 26. We will also have another period of enrollment for virtual closer to school beginning. These applications will be completed and turned in at your home school. If you intend on taking any virtual classes, please be sure to get an application filled out and turned on time in order to be considered.
