This week, Mr. O'Dell's classes have started their Project Lead the Way (PLTW) curriculum.
6th graders are using their engineering skills to develop an ankle-foot orthosis for a patient with a specific disability and 7th and 8th graders are building gear trains in order to explore motion and rotation, which will be used later as part of the build of a mechanical vehicle!

Mercer County 4-H is collecting new comfort items for children and families affected by national disasters. Please donate small blankets, stuffed animals, activity books, crayons, travel-size hygiene items, or individually wrapped snacks in our collection bin by September 11. Your donation will help Southern West Virginia 4-H Teen Leaders assemble care packages for families in need.

A HUGE congratulations to the Princeton Middle School Cross-Country Team!
The Tigers competed at the Cabell Midland state-level cross-country course and had an incredible day!
The Tigers brought home a FIRST-PLACE TEAM FINISH, two individual first-place finishes, and multiple Top 10 finishes!
Leading the Tigers were Markus Miller on the boys’ side and Taiya Cosby on the girls’ side!
Taiya not only won her race, but she was also the fastest sixth-grade female runner by more than 25 seconds! 🔥

This week in ELA homeroom, Mrs. Ray’s students put their acting skills to work while learning about nouns and verbs! Students drew cards from Mrs. Ray’s Mailbox of Fun and acted them out while their classmates guessed what they were portraying—and whether it was a noun or a verb.
