Good afternoon PMS family! We are sending this message with a few very important updates for next week.
Any student wishing to sign up for the kickball tournament must sign up by Monday during lunch. We are also excited to announce that testing at Princeton Middle School will begin next Wednesday, May 13th. It is very important that students are well-rested and arrive on time each day so they can do their very best. Each student has participated in data talks with their Math and Reading teachers this week. We truly believe that if every student gives their individual best effort and shows even a little growth, our scores will reflect the amazing things our students are capable of accomplishing. We are ready! Thank you for your continued support and help at home. Have a great weekend!

Mr. O'Dell's students used block coding to create programs for their microbits. Today, they shared with their classmates why they designed that particular code, what it made the microbit do, and then showed the microbit performing the function, along with the code on their computer!

Mr. O'Dell's classes have been using Micro:Bits to learn block coding. Micro:Bits are like miniature computer chips that have LED lights on them, effectively making them like a miniature, handheld LED sign. The goal is to code the Micro:Bit to perform a function.
For our first Micro:Bit lesson, students coded the Micro:Bits to display their names. They then got into groups and used the Microsoft Makecode site to code and play a game!
