🪁 Learning Takes Flight in 8th Grade Math! ☀️
Students in Mrs. Mills’ 8th grade math class recently applied the Pythagorean Theorem in a hands-on way by designing and building their own kites. After calculating side lengths and ensuring their designs were mathematically sound, they took their creations outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. It was a perfect day for learning and flying, as students saw math come to life in a fun and engaging way. Great work to our young mathematicians for combining creativity, problem-solving, and real-world application!
🎉 Math in Action & Pi Day Fun! 🥧
Ms. Lucas’s 6th grade math students recently took on the role of teachers by sharing their understanding of unit rates with their peers. Through this experience, they demonstrated strong communication skills and a deep understanding of the concept. The class also celebrated Pi Day (March 14th) by participating in a creative poster contest. Students designed eye-catching posters that highlighted the importance of π in mathematics. We are proud of their hard work, creativity, and enthusiasm for learning!
We are so excited for a group of our teachers going to Atlanta to visit the Ron Clark Academy this Summer! Our teachers will be learning engaging and exciting teaching strategies to bring home to Princeton Middle School!!!

Team F, the Robo Tigers, won 1st place at the WV Robotics State Championship.They will move on the the World Championships! They were also awarded the design award! Team A placed as well, coming in 3rd! We are beyond proud of all of our Robotics teams. They have all come so far this year, Great job!
We have two Princeton Middle School teams that have made it to the finals!
Our teams are really showing their resilience and drive to do great things today!!! The state competition is well under way.
Our PMS Book Fair will wrap up at NOON tomorrow (Friday)! If you have a student who wants to purchase, they have until that time.

Great things are coming to Princeton Middle school! Drones and Robots!
We LOVE our school social workers here at PMS and all of the time and energy that they put in to making sure our students are successful!! Happy SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER WEEK to two of the best! - Mrs. O'Dell & Mrs. Stevenson
Teachers at PMS have been incorporating Jason Learning into their classrooms!
Mr. O’Dell utilized the “Let’s Learn Tinkercad” lesson to teach 3D design to students in Computer class. Students utilized the online platform to create a 3D keychain (that they will get to print and keep) and a 3D Bird Birdhouse.
Mr. Morrello utilized the “Healthy Lifestyles in eSports” lesson in PE class to talk to students about the hot topic of video gaming and how students can get (and stay) healthy while also enjoying what they LOVE – video games!
Mrs. Pettus used the “Going Green is Art!” lesson to teach students in Art class the importance of “reducing, reusing, recycling, and restoring.” Students then created a sculpture or other work of art using recycled materials from the classroom art studio and from home!
For their eagerness to use Jason in their classrooms, Mr. O'Dell gifted Mr. Morrello and Mrs. Pettus with a 3D printer from his classroom set!!!
The Book Fair has arrived! We are so excited to start it on Monday!!
