Good news! We had such a great response to our dental clinic being offered that we had to add extra days to get all the students in for care. Our first day will be tomorrow, March 20th . The list hasn't been determined yet, but please make sure your student attends so we don't miss them in the process. If you still need to get us a completed permission form, it's not too late! You can get one from the main office or let us know to send another home with your student. We are so excited to be able to offer this to our students. Any questions, please call Nurse Jenny at the school: 304-425-751

Secondary teachers had Jason Learning training at PMS on March 11 after school. Teachers learned how to navigate the Jason site, explore resources, updates to the program and also completed a fun Jason lesson on Ancient Wall Paintings. For the product of the lesson, teachers had to work as a team to create their own wall painting which would help those 3,000 years in the future that discover it understand what the painting was about and the approximate time period of the painting! 😊

Students in Mr. O’Dell’s Project Lead The Way “Design & Modeling” class were tasked with solving an instant design challenge. The challenge – understand and define the needs of a person with a physical challenge, then design, build, and test a prototype to help that person. Given a specific set of design requirements, students worked in groups to develop an “Ankle Foot Orthosis” prototype. The prototype was to be designed for an individual with cerebral palsy in order to help that individual place their foot flat on the floor when standing to keep them from walking on their toes. After learning about cerebral palsy, students were given a specific set of supplies to use for their design. Students drew a model of their proposed design, worked together as a team to build the prototype and then presented and explained their prototype to the class.
