Students in Mrs. Mills' math classes explored dilations and the center of dilation using a creative flashlight activity! By shining lights through transparent shapes, students were able to see how figures change size while keeping their shape — just like in real mathematical dilations.
📐➡️ Using several different prisms, they discovered how moving the shape closer or farther from the "center of dilation" (the flashlight!) changes the scale.
Math is more than numbers — it’s hands-on, visual, and full of light! 🌟

This initiative follows Senate Bill 280, which requires that this sign be displayed in a conspicuous location within the main building of each public school or institution of higher education—somewhere easily accessible to the public.
We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to First Liberty Institute, Patriot Mobile, Patriot Academy, and Christian Management for generously donating the signs that will be displayed at Princeton Middle School.

Hey Princeton Middle School families! Just a quick reminder that all students in grades K–8 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to attend any sporting events hosted at PMS.
🎟️ Tickets are $6 and can also be purchased online.
Thanks for helping us keep our games safe and fun for everyone. See you there! 🙌

Wellness Wednesday – Connections Matter
This week, Mercer County Schools students are learning that no one has to face tough times alone. Our students are discussing "who's in their corner." When we know who we can turn to, we feel stronger and more supported. Let’s remind one another: You are never alone!

It’s game time! Our PMS Staff will take on the Drug Free All Stars in an exciting basketball showdown in 30 minutes!
This special event brings entertainment, school spirit, and an important message about the power of making healthy, drug-free choices.
We are excited for our students to come cheer, laugh, learn, and be inspired. Let’s show our support for a drug-free lifestyle! 💪

Middle school can be tough, but you don’t have to go through challenges alone. This month, Mercer County Schools will focus on practical coping strategies and ways to support your own mental health.
There will be activities and opportunities to learn how to manage stress, talk through feelings, and find positive outlets when life gets overwhelming. Remember: your feelings matter, and your life matters. Together, we can create a supportive
community.

We will be conducting in-person training with all students regarding the new "Reach Out" app during the month of September. Below is an explanation of what the "Reach Out" app does.
"Relatable & Supportive"
Middle school can feel overwhelming sometimes—friend drama, stress, or just tough days.
That’s why we have ReachOut! It connects students with licensed counselors who listen and care.
It’s safe. It’s confidential. And it’s available whenever they need it.
Just click the “Let’s Talk” icon on your school computer.

Students got to see a 3D printer create a "Fidget Dinosaur!" Students then played with "Zivko," Mr. O'Dell's robot. Following Zivko's introduction, students were tasked with designing their own robot to perform a certain beneficial function. Lastly, students explored designing and building paper airplanes, with a discussion on what would make them go the farthest. Today, students got to launch their airplanes and see how far they would go! We LOVE STEM at Princeton Middle School!! Activities don't have to be complicated and they can be SO MUCH FUN! :)

Happy Labor Day! (Remember, there is no school Monday!)

Students were sent home today with two important documents that need your attention and signature! The "Mercer County Schools Device Agreement" and the "Mercer County Schools Acceptable Use Policy (I-03-B)" must be signed and returned to the homeroom teacher in order for students to receive devices. You can either complete the paper forms or sign them digitally via the parent portal (using the attached QR code) or complete the documents via both routes (just to be on the safe side!) We appreciate your time and help in ensuring that your student has a successful year at PMS! Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the school!
:)

Parents,
Students will be bringing home a "Device Agreement" form and a "Policy I-03B (AUP)" form. Please read these carefully, sign and have your child return them to the homeroom teacher THIS WEEK. Students WHO HAVE turned in their SIGNED Device Agreement and Policy I-03B (AUP) Agreement will be issued devices next week. Anyone not having these forms in WILL NOT be issued a device until the forms are completed and turned in.
Thanks!
