
This week is Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week highlights the importance of living a drug-free life. Thank you to Kenley C. for helping us plan this year's campaign at PVMS.


PVMS will be holding our annual Veteran's Day Program on November 9th. Students are encouraged to send photos of veterans they know and love to Mrs. Jones for display during the ceremony. Pictures can be brought in or emailed to her. When submitting a photo, please include your name, the name of the veteran, their military branch and years served. Photos are due by Tuesday, October 31st. Veterans in our community are invited to attend so please be sure to invite your favorite vet.

PVMS Honor Society is sponsoring a Canned Food Drive for Amy's House of Hope. Students can turn in food to their first period teacher. The class who collects the most food items will receive a pizza party! The Canned Food Drive will run from Monday 10/23 to Thursday 11/9!


Ms. Morrow's 6th and 7th grades presenting their preemptive "Rescue Missions" for high-rise emergencies.


PVMS Fall Festival is tonight from 6 to 8pm. Admission is $5, with an additional $3 for the Haunted Hallway. Concessions and games will be available too!!! Come out and bring your families! All are welcome!!


Students in Mr. Hodges's class launch air skimmers to gather data for statistical analysis.

Our robotics team is back in action!! We are so proud of your hard work!


Mrs. Underwood and Mrs. Wimmer's 6th Grade ELA students became Nike designers today as they created new sneakers for the main character of the novel Maniac Magee. The students also completed a written description and explanation of their designs!

Ms Sadler-Thorne's 7th grade English Language Arts class read the book, Because of Winn Dixie. They then designed a house for the characters Preacher, Opal, and Winn Dixie using recycled materials.



Our first period STEM classes have been busy!!!!


We will be auctioning off baskets during our Fall Festival. Each grade level is doing a different theme basket. We would appreciate any donations! If you plan to donate, please turn items in to a teacher by October 18th.

8th Grade: Candles/Scented Items
In addition to items for the baskets, we are also in need of candy for prizes for games!

Join us on Friday October 20th for our Fall Festival from 6:00pm-8:00pm! We will have games and activities in the gymnasium, a haunted hallway, and lots of vendors for you to browse. We will also have three baskets for our silent auction. Be sure to check out our Movie Night, Car Care, and Aromatic baskets and place your bid. Additionally, we will also have a limited number of pie pumpkins that can be painted for just $2!
Admission for the Fall Festival is $5, and the Haunted Hallway is an additional $3. Proceeds will go to PVMS Honor Society and the school.
Come hungry because we will be selling concessions! We will be serving walking tacos, drinks, and snacks. Baked items will be sold by vendors.


Mrs. Mitchem’s science classes were given the challenge to explore density as they attempted to layer four liquids in a straw. Several groups were successful!
