Congratulations to the PVMS Track and Field Team who competed at the Judy Thomas Memorial Track Meet hosted by Beckley Stratton yesterday. Both teams placed fifth along with many earning ribbons in their individual events.

Mrs. Sigmon's 8th Grade Math students have been enjoying some hands-on Math!!
Congratulations to the PVMS students who helped make the 2023 All-County Choir Festival a “Lovely Day!” Our community showed up and every seat was filled!
6th Graders that participated were Santana Ernest, Addison Fortner, Fallyn Murphy, Abigail Nolan, Braydin Walker and Haiden White.
From the 7/8 Choir were Emily Chatman, Macy Griffith, Jillian Hemminger, Olivia Martin, Zoey Byars, Luke Brown, Haleigh Shrewsbury, Christian Shrewsbury, Seth Farley, Maddie Evans, Zach Fortner, Rylan Runyon and Caleb Stauffer.
A special shout-out to Christian Shrewsbury, who was featured on fiddle with the Elementary group and Macy Griffith and Seth Farley for singing solos!
You all made our school and community so proud! Way to go, Panthers!

Congratulations to our MathCounts team!! Carlea Tuck, Aedan O'Quinn, Hayden Halstead, and Luke Brown competed in the state MathCounts competition today at Braxton Middle School. They placed 4th overall in the Teams competition. Aedan O'Quinn placed 10th individually.

Today our 8th graders are getting a treat and taking a field trip to the Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theater in Wytheville, VA ! Yesterday Mrs. Wilson, Ms. Shrewsbury, and student teacher Mrs. Ramsey's classes, learned about and practiced proper table etiquette for their experience. Topics included appropriate dress, seating, respecting wait staff, and table design. We know that our students will represent PVMS in a positive way today and we hope they have a wonderful time!

Today's, March 14th, All County Band Rehearsal has been canceled.
Attention PVMS Golfers!
There will not be golf practice Friday (March 17) and Saturday (March 18) due to All County Band rehearsals and performances.
Tryouts for golf will be moved to Wednesday March 22 due to the weather.
