Paige Fox

SPANISHBURG, WV – Spanishburg Elementary School was proud to welcome back former student Paige Fox for a special presentation to second grade students on the theme of “Being Your Best Self.”

Fox, a graduate of Spanishburg Elementary and the newly named West Virginia Distinguished Young Woman of the Year, returned to her roots to share an inspiring message with students. During her visit, she spoke about being healthy, involved, studious, ambitious, responsible and striving for excellence—values that have guided her own journey from a local student to a state-wide role model.

In addition to her recent Distinguished Young Woman honor, Paige Fox was also awarded the prestigious WVU Foundation Scholarship, a full-ride academic scholarship to West Virginia University.

“We are incredibly proud of Paige and grateful she took the time to come back and pour into the next generation,” said Melissa Boothe, principal of Spanishburg Elementary. “She is a shining example of what our students can achieve with determination, heart, and hard work.”

Fox’s visit served not only as a celebration of her achievements, but also as a source of encouragement and inspiration for the young students of Spanishburg Elementary.
