We had dozens upon dozens of SMART COOKIES for the WVGSA Math Test!! Other than a few make up tests, we are officially done!

Straley Families, unfortunately our delivery of flowers and plants has been delayed and will not be here until tomorrow, May 17. We are estimating it to be here in the afternoon. As soon as we hear an exact time we will update you all with pick up times! Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Mr. Suroski's class has started a novel study of Lauren Tarshis' I Survived the Sinking of the Titanic, 1912! They're enjoying the story that is building!

Straley Families our Flower orders should be delivered tomorrow May 16th. We will send a message and post on Facebook once it has arrived. If you are unable to pick them up by 4:00 pm please call the school to make arrangements for Friday pickups.

Next week starts Teacher Appreciation Week and we'd love to see our students show teachers how special they are! Please join us next week in giving a little extra gratitude toward our Stallion staff!

Another wonderful Derby Day in the books at Straley!!!
A fun time was had by all!🐎🎉🐎

Friendly Reminder:

Today Mr. Suroski's class celebrated Ms. Foy! She has completed her Praxis (teacher qualification) tests and her hours needed for student teaching! We could not be more proud and are excited to say we'll get to keep her around a bit longer as she becomes a substitute! Graduation is right around the corner for her! We love you Ms. Foy!

Friendly reminder:
I-Ready Testing this week. Please do not log in to I-Ready from home this week.

Help spread the word to all our upcoming Stallions!
Come check out your new school! 🎉🎉🎉

We are so excited to announce Straley's 2024 Teacher of the Year- Makayla Thorne!
Mrs. Thorne will represent Straley in the county competition held at the end of the month!
We are very proud of her and thankful for all she does for Straley School!

Save the Date, Families!
Our 3rd Annual Derby Day at Straley is just 2 weeks away!! 💙🐴💙

Just a reminder, we had a conflict with the March 22 and April 11 dates for the dance and need to pick a new date.
The sidewalk in front of Straley was supposed to be completed during spring break and is still a work in progress. We can’t really pick a date for the dance until we know that we can safely dismiss all the dance attendees. Once the sidewalk is complete we will set a date!
Sorry for any confusion!

Due to the lack of interest in the Spring Fling Dance and King and Queen fundraiser, we have postponed the events to a later date! Any money that has been turned in so far will be used for the dance at that time. Sorry Stallions!

Our Spring Fling is just around the corner! We'll also be crowing our King and Queen at the dance!

Celebrating School Social Worker Week!
A huge shoutout and heartfelt THANK YOU to our amazing school social worker, Mrs. Laura Suroski! We can’t let this week pass without expressing our gratitude for the incredible work she does every day to support our students and create a positive school environment. Her dedication, compassion, and ability to make a difference in the lives of our students does not go unnoticed.
From offering a listening ear to providing invaluable guidance, she play a crucial role in shaping the well-being of our school community. Mrs. Suroski’s commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive space for everyone is truly inspiring.
Let's take a moment to recognize Mrs. Suroski and all school social workers for their unwavering support and the positive impact they make on the lives of students and families.
Happy School Social Worker Week, Mrs. Suroski!

Congratulations to our All-County Choir members!
