Practical Nursing students have been very busy participating in nutrition classes, health fairs in schools, and competing in skills events.










The Baking & Pastry students received a new donut maker and put it to good use today! Donuts will be for sale in the MCTEC Mercantile. Other students worked on various bread projects such as pizza dough and homemade biscuits.

Mr. Hodges' students in Welding classes participated in a Scrap Art Welding Contest. Dave Shinault from ARC3 and Nathan Fink along with Aaron Honaker from Conn-Weld served as judges. ARC3 donated prizes.

Happy Thanksgiving

MCTEC has a decorated tree in a storefront window on Mercer Street. Most of the ornaments were crafted by students to represent career technical programs. Students used their skills to make the ornaments. We participated in this Christmas tree decorating project sponsored by The City of Princeton. Check out our tree! It is located across the street from the library.


Bluefield State University representatives and Sir Blue are visiting MCTEC today! Students are learning more about how to prepare for future success and post-secondary education opportunities. Thank you, BSU, for spending the day with us and planning fun activities for our students.
