Attention Parents of Rising Seniors and Student Athletes: On Wednesday, May 15th, from 1 to 4 p.m., the Mercer County Health Department will provide Senior Vaccinations and Sports Physical Services for all student-athletes at Montcalm High School.
For your convenience, packets will be sent home on Monday, April 29th. We kindly ask parents or guardians to complete and sign the forms and return them to the office as soon as possible. The papers must be signed and returned for the service, and your presence is optional when submitted in advance.
Parents: This is a reminder that all Juniors will take the SAT School Day assessment at MHS tomorrow, April 16, 2024.
Please ensure your student gets plenty of sleep tonight and is on time tomorrow morning.
Additionally, any Junior who drives and wants to get an Early Dismissal after taking the SAT must turn in a parent/guardian note with a contact number to the office before testing begins. We are not accepting phone calls for Early Dismissals.

Parents/Guardians:
When picking up your child from school, you must park in a parking space. State code requires us to keep a lane open in our parking lot for the Fire Dept/EMS/Police.
This is nonnegotiable. If you cannot adhere to this rule, then there are two options:
#1 Fire Marshall can issue you a ticket
#2 Student pickup time will be changed to 3:40 pm instead of 3:20 pm.

Bus Update: This afternoon, BUS 611 will transport the students who live on Lorton Lick and Bus 599 will transport the students who live on Windmill Gap.
This is due to overflow and because BUS 614 is not running because we have no substitute bus. In anticipation of no substitute bus driver tomorrow, this transportation modification will remain the same.

There will be a Montcalm High Golf Interest meeting for anyone interested in playing golf in high school on July 28th and July 31st at 3:00 p.m. in the MHS cafeteria.
The Parent Meeting will be on July 31st followed at 6 pm in the cafeteria.

Parents of Athletes at MHS, and grades 6th- 12th:
The Mercer County Health Department is providing Sports Physicals at the school,
this Monday, June 26, 2023, from 3 pm - 5 pm. The WVSSAC requires all student athletes to have a completed physical form and proof of insurance before they are allowed to attend any practices or try outs.

Attention Parents of Seniors and Seniors:
All Seniors must be here at MHS by 8:15 am tomorrow.
We have Senior Awards at 8:30 am, and immediately following, we have Graduation Practice.
Graduation Practice will be held for the second time on Thursday, May 25,2023, at 10 am. All Seniors who plan on walking in their graduation ceremony Friday night must attend both graduation practices tomorrow and Thursday morning.
Reminder to Parents of all Juniors:
An Immunization Clinic will be held at MHS this Thursday, May 25, 2023, from 11 am - 12:30 pm.
All Juniors have been given a permission slip, but we have extra in the office if needed. Students can ask Mrs. Nunn, and make sure the completed form is brought with them to the clinic on Thursday.
The immunizations are required by legislation. Seniors cannot participate in any summer athletics, including band, or school, without these.
Good Luck to the high school baseball team as they travel to Bland in tonight's match up.
Parents of 7th and 8th grade students:
Seventh and Eighth grade students begin their mandatory WVGSA testing tomorrow.
Please make sure they charge their laptops tonight and bring their laptop and chargers to school tomorrow to take their tests.
Students are not permitted to have a cell phone or smartwatch on them while they take the test.
Please make sure your child understands that their cellphones are to be turned off and placed in their lockers while they are on school grounds.
They are never allowed inside a testing classroom, per school, county, and state policy.
