Big congratulations to two of our PikeView Freshmen for receiving Mercer County recognition for Young Writers.
Emma Dunford received 1st place for 9th grade in Mercer County. Lorelei Mitchem received 2nd place for 9th grade in Mercer County.
Emma will be reading her winning entry to the guests at the Mercer County Young Writers ceremony on March 14.

Last Friday night, Mrs. Lee and student volunteers served up smoothies during the Regional Basketball Game. Funding for supplies was provided through the WV Healthy Schools in Action program. West Virginia is one out of 20 states in the U.S. to receive this grant with Mercer County being chosen as the priority LEA.

Spring Sports practice / try out information. You must have a completed WVSSAC physical form dated after May 1 of 2024 and a copy of a current insurance card turned in to your coaches before you may begin. If you have played another sport, I always recommend turning in a copy to each coach as the season begins. You must have 5 practices to participate in a scrimmage and 12 for a game.
Track
First day of Track and Field practice Monday March 3, 2025, from 4:30-6pm. Mandatory parent meeting will be held at 5:30 on this date.
Baseball
Monday through Friday 3:30-6:30 and Saturday will be determined by weather.
Softball
Monday through Friday 3:30-6:15 and Saturday 9-11 am.
