It's Game Day!

Today starts the Coppinger Tournament for the Baseball team. Tonight they will take on the Tazewell Bulldogs at Princeton Senior High School. First pitch is scheduled for 7 pm.

This morning our special education teachers attended a professional development session regarding transition at PVMS. The whole staff then met together this afternoon to review effective teaching strategies and to review our Attendance Action Plan in our effort to reduce Chronic Absenteeism. Together we can keep making PikeView an awesome place to grow and learn! #PublicSchoolProudWV

Just a friendly reminder to students and parents that students will need their laptops everyday for the remainder of the school year for testing purposes. Please be sure to bring your chargers in the event you run out of battery life. We appreciate all that you do to be successful!

Last night, a first for PVHS Baseball.

Teammates Landon Wyatt, Aidan Miller, and Landon Bolen hit back to back to back home runs in the same inning!

Jeffrey Shrewsbury, PikeView High School’s Chorale Director and Teacher of the Year candidate, has demonstrated exceptional dedication and passion for music education throughout his many years at PVHS. He has worked tirelessly to enrich students’ experiences, most notably by continuing the cherished Boar’s Head Holiday Program for several seasons and successfully transitioning it this past year to the Chuck Mathena Center, where it was met with tremendous success. In addition to directing the Chorale, Mr. Shrewsbury leads the Handbell Choir and teaches a variety of other music courses, inspiring students across multiple disciplines. PikeView High School is proud to have Mr. Shrewsbury represent the school as its Teacher of the Year candidate for the 2026–2027 school year.

Tonight PVHS will host Premier Pro Wrestling! All proceeds will benefit Project Graduation. PVHS Junior, Nate Vestal (Nate Saturn) is scheduled to appear. Concessions will be sold.

Tickets are $10 and children under 5 are FREE! You can pay cash at the door or purchase digital at the door or at the link below. Come out for a fun Friday night at PVHS.

Students in Mrs. Woods’ art classes recently participated in mARTch Madness. Art I students researched historical artists, while Crafts students explored contemporary artists, creating graphic flyers to showcase their work. Students also completed prediction brackets alongside their projects. The students pictured earned bragging rights in their classes for Best Artist/Flyer and Best Prediction Bracket. In 5th period, Kinzy Jones, Blake Jones, Bri Holdren, and Jadelyn Crews created a perfect prediction bracket. #PikeView Proud ❤️🖤❤️
