Good afternoon. Just a reminder that our fifth grade will host their Annual Market Days Thursday and Friday this week. The fifth graders have been learning about supply and demand. They have made a business proposal and will set up shop to sell their items Thursday and Friday. All students will have a chance to shop. Please send money in an envelope or baggy marked with your child's name. Items will range in price from 50 cents to ten dollars. All money raised will go towards the fifth grade field trip.
Don't forget our Trash to Treasure competition is on April 7th. I cannot wait to see all the creative items that are entered into the competition. Friday, April 8th spring pictures are scheduled.
Have a great evening.

Super proud of Jaxon Billings, Melrose student . He placed first at the regional social studies fair today. He heads to the state in April!

Today we celebrated Mrs. Darra Combs, Melrose Service Person of the Year. We love Mrs. Darra.

Join us for our Spring Celebration

Our Kids Heart Challenge will end on April 13th. All money will be due to the school by the 13th. You may send it in earlier.

Bus 644 might be a few minutes late this morning. There was an accident on route 20 and the bus was/is stuck in traffic.

IMPORTANT BUS INFORMATION:
Bus 625 will not run tomorrow, Friday, March 18th. This affects Athens, Melrose, PVMS, and PVHS.

Lost and hopefully found- If your child is missing a coat or jacket we might have it.

Who says teaching supply and demand cannot be fun? Mrs. Burton’s class is learning about supply and demand for their upcoming market days project. Today they played musical chairs in relation to supply and demand.

March 18 menu- Chicken Fajitas

We are super proud of these two young ladies. They both placed in the County Young Writer’s Contest. Myah Patel placed first and and Nora Williams placed second.

Beautiful sunshine and a happy Friday call for a walk outside to check out our new windows 🤗
We are SOOOO excited! Melrose cannot wait to have all new windows and HVAC. 😃

Good evening Melrose Cardinals,
I have a few reminders. Thank you for sending in the items for our upcoming recycling art project. We are good on water bottles, cardboard, and milk jugs. You do not need to send those items in. We do need egg cartons, cardboard paper towel tubes, pool noodles, old cd's and plastic shopping bags. Don't forget to keep saving those aluminum cans. We want to win again this year.
Next Friday is an early out day. The 18th of March we will start dismissing at 12:16.
Just a reminder when dropping students off in the mornings or picking them up in the afternoons watch for students. In the afternoons on the church lot, please do not block our neighbor's driveway. If you would wait until all students are delivered to their parent/guardian and then pull out please. The safety of our students is number one.
Mercer County has a new app to receive information. If you have not downloaded it yet, do so. There is lots of good info going out.
Look on Schoology for a form on meal packs for our upcoming Re-Imagined Days in April.
Set those clocks forward on Sunday. The time springs forward and hopefully spring is close by!

Important bus information from Mercer County Schools. Bus 625 will not run tomorrow, Thursday, March 10th. This affects Athens, Pikeview Middle, and Pikeview High. The bus also will not pick up at Melrose tomorrow afternoon. Thank you.

Congratulations to our Battle of the Books team. They placed first in Mercer County. They competed against all elementary schools and came out #1. Special thanks to our coaches Janet Burton and Rhonda Canaday Thomas.
